Due to the current level of concern regarding Coronavirus all requests for appointments need to be assessed by a clinician before an appointment is given for the foreseeable future. This will allow us to manage your symptoms appropriately and to avoid potential virus spread.
Patients are asked to NOT come into the surgery unless absolutely necessary.
Clinical advice and appointments will NOT be given at the reception desk, all contacts must be by telephone.
From Monday 16th March all routine face to face appointments will be cancelled or changed to a telephone call where appropriate, patients will be advised on an individual basis if appointments are already booked. Our actions are in line with NHS guidelines and other practices' responses to the current situation.
We hope you understand and please accept out apologies. The situation is beyond our control, as we continue to act in the best interests of patients and staff to reduce the potential transmission of the virus.

Some appointments are held in reserve for medically urgent cases that cannot wait for the next routine appointment.
If you feel you need one of these appointments, please contact reception in the usual way. Reception will ask for brief details of your problem in order that we can manage it in the most appropriate way.
For urgent appointments and home visits you may not be able to see the doctor of your choice.
An appointment system operates for all surgeries. We do not operate any open surgeries.
Appointments can be booked up to 7 days in advance. We will always endeavour to let you book an appointment with the doctor of your choice at a time that suits you best. This is obviously not always possible especially at times of high demand (usually around the holiday periods) and when doctors are on holiday. We are constantly reviewing the appointment system to offer a range of availability.
Our Saturday surgeries are by appointment only. There will be two clinicians available, some weeks 2 Doctors other weeks a Doctor and a Practice Nurse.
Telephone Advice may include queries about a prescription, a test result, a hospital appointment, a referral, a form that needs to be completed or advice about a minor ailment. Please call and ask the receptionist who will be able to help you.

Doctors take telephone calls / advice Monday to Friday between 11.00am to 11.15am on 01782 627488.
Advice is also available from the NHS 111 service by calling 111 from your landline or mobile phone.

If you anticipate that you may require an examination by the Doctor and feel that you would like a chaperone to be present, please make reception aware at the time of booking your appointment so that this can be arranged. Alternatively bring along a member of your family or friend to your appointment.
If you are unable to attend for your appointment please tell us in good time so that we are able to offer another patient the use of that appointment.

As part of our commitment to all our patients we monitor the efficient use of appointments. If a patient regularly fails to attend a booked appointment, the practice reserves the right to remove them and their family from the practice list.
